How has our school participated?
A massive thank you to everyone who donated to the charity URBOND.
URBOND is a Charity based in Portsmouth who are working to advance diversity and
equality locally and in Guinea. Our children have learnt about the school that the
charity has built in a small village, similar size to Rowlands Castle, and compared how
the children and adults’ lives differ from ours. St John's is supporting the charity with
a collection of items to continue their work and improve the children's lives. Guinea,
where the school is based, is the 10th poorest country in the world and therefore the
donations you gave, will make a huge difference to the children. We will receive
updates from the charity next academic year and we will get to see how the
donations have been used!
