Rowlands Castle Scarecrow Trail
Theme: ‘Film Characters’
Saturday 7th – Sunday 15th November 2020
The Rowlands Castle Scarecrow Trail is a community event, this year brought to you by the St John's Primary School PTA. It aims to bring villagers and local businesses together for some fun and some fundraising that will put a smile on everyone's face!
As a usually busy PTA organising such events like school discos and Christmas fairs at this time of year, we are somewhat curtailed by Covid-19. However, that won’t stop us completely, and an outdoor trail over the course of 9 days should give us a bit joy we all need at this time yet in a safe manner.
With the theme 'Film Characters', it's going to be entertaining spotting the stars around the village. A terrific activity for all the family, young & old.
It's £10 to enter a scarecrow, with all proceeds going towards the PTA. The deadline for scarecrow entries is Monday 26th October.
There will be 3 categories, with a prize of £100 each on offer too.
A scarecrow trail map will be available to buy (£2) from the Londis shop on the village Green and there is a ‘Guess the Film Character and Film’ competition with a prize of £100 up for grabs. With many thanks from one of our community partners, Halls Garage.
We very much look forward to seeing the imagination of our fellow villagers and the film character scarecrows they come up with!
The PTA would like to thank all of our community partners who have kindly contributed their support for this event.
