At Rowlands castle St John’s, our intent for Art is to stimulate imagination, creativity and innovative thinking. Through Art, children are encouraged to reflect on what they see, think and feel about the world around them and communicate their response to others. The pupils will implement this through a variety of mediums including drawing, painting and sculpture. The impact of this is that it inspires children to be open to new ideas, consider the ideas of others and seek to find deeper meaning within different expressions of Art.

Due to the current circumstances the INSET day on Friday 29th January will be postponed so key worker children and vulnerable children can come in as usual. The next INSET day arranged for Monday 22nd February will be confirmed at a later date.
