  • Hair bobbles / bands (appropriate size) should be in school colours

green / white / black

  • White shirt (tucked inside) or blouse or white /green polo shirt

  • Grey or green cardigans or sweatshirts

  • Green and white gingham checked summer dresses / skirts

  • Black suitable school shoes only, not trainers or open toe sandals

  • Sweatshirts or green / white polo shirts printed with the school logo are available.

  • No jewellery should be worn – if ears are pierced, studs only and must be removed / covered for P.E.

Physical Education

For indoor PE, children need black shorts or jogging bottoms and a plain t-shirt in their house team colour (just a plain t-shirt – no buttons please):

  • Portchester Castle = Red
  • Calshot Castle = Bright Blue
  • Southsea Castle = Yellow
  • Rowlands Castle = Bottle Green

  • Trainers/Plimsolls are needed for outdoor PE and Games.
  • PE kit bags are not required as pupils will be coming into school dressed in PE kit on PE days twice a week.
  • Please ensure your child has the correct uniform for both their PE days (purchasing 2 t-shirts may be necessary in older year groups).
  • In winter months children are permitted to wear their school jumper/cardigan over their PE kit for warmth.

All children will take part in PE and Games unless a letter of explanation is sent to the class teacher.

It is essential for all clothing to be clearly marked with name tags.  Help us to help you get any lost items back!

Outdoor Education

Wellington boots and waterproof trousers and jackets are compulsory for KS1 and EYFS.   Coats are needed in school even if children come to school by car.

Each class from Year 1 to Year 5 will receive half a term of Forest Schools teaching during the year. For this, they will be required to arrive in suitable, long sleeved outdoor clothing, with long trousers. A letter will be sent prior to your child starting forest school, to inform you of the day it will be taking place.
