On 23rd September, our School Council visited the Houses of Parliament.  It was fantastic to find out more about our democracy and relate this to the way our school councillors are elected. The children had the opportunity to speak to Damian Hinds, MP for East Hampshire. We toured the Houses of Parliament viewing both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It was fascinating to see these areas and gain a greater understanding of the work our members of parliament do.

George's Rockstars Charity. 

George’s Rockstars provides music therapy for children in hospitals across Hampshire. Many of these children have serious and life limiting/ threatening illnesses or mental health challenges and spend a large proportion of their time in hospital. This can impact them in many ways, from the physical challenges they face due to their condition to missing time with friends and family. For many they have to come to terms with the long term impact their condition will have on their day to day life, or that their condition will be life limiting.

We donated to George's Rockstars to support children in our local area and local hospitals.

We have chosen to support the Samaritans Purse Charity - creating Christmas gift shoeboxes for children in need around the world.
